KIA released K7

KIA released almost full-sized sedan K7 on November 24th. KIA explains that K7 may be the most comfortable because of the longest body among the other almost full-sized cars. 2.4liter engine model can generate 180h.p. and be droven 11.8km per liter. 2.7liter engine model can generate 200h.p. and 11km, and 3.5liter engine model can generate 290h.p. and 10.6km. You can see K7 in soup drama IRIS which is droven by Byung Heon Lee. Actually, Granduer seize almost full-sized car market in Korea. Howeve, as K7 is released, I have some curiosity about how K7 affects in Korea car market as well as in abroad markets.

As iPhone released in Korea, I think many people want to get information about application for their iPhone. So I introduce some applications.

Star Walk

Star walk is an observatory application. Everyone can be amateur astronomer. You can see every plenets and constellations in the solar system through star walk. Rarely, every contents are introduced by Korean. If you have 3GS iPhone, you can make your iPhone to display stars which up in the sky on you by 'star spotter' function.

Night rec.
If you turn on and turn your iPhone to sleep mode, you can record what you made during night. Not all the time you sleeped are recorded but moments that you make noise are recorded. If you think that you don't make a noise when you sleep but people say that you make a noise during night, try to record your sound during night.

This application is the best among some recommending restaurants applications. This application introduces not only name and location of restaurants but also various pictures, reviews and so on. However it is limited in Seoul, I think this will be update soon. This application is free.

Science vs. religion

I think the theory of evolution is wrong. Proponents of the evolution theory argue that intelligent design is just a story in Genesis and do not have scientific proof, but evolution theory can explain how human being evolved. However, this argument is a paradox. They always use ‘if’, when they explain the theory of evolution. This ‘if’ cannot be scientific explanation. Intelligent design does not use ‘if’, because it is absolutely true. Even though the theory has been revealed shortcoming more and more, intelligent design has been proved by scientific description.

Human cannot know how God think about. A man before God is like an ant before a man. According to evolution theory, we cannot describe how a primordial cell was created in the beginning and the universe should be which it is. Like this, the theory of evolution has lost its reliable. Should we learn the theory in biological class? Of course, opponents to intelligent design are difficult to accept without religious belief, but how long will this incorrect theory learns? Above all, we have a right of learning that we want to learn. In this sense, intelligent design clubs in university do as a pioneer. Because of these clubs, we need not struggle with enforcement of evolution theory in class any longer. They create the club and we will observe that how they design their clubs. I want to learn either intelligent design or evolution theory in biological class or literature class. I think these intelligent clubs make it true.

Movie review - Chariots of Fire

Plot

The true story of two British track athletes competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics. One is a devout Scottish missionary who runs for God, the other is a Jewish student at Cambridge who runs for fame and to escape prejudice.

The story, told in flashback, of two young British sprinters competing for fame in the 1924 Olympics. Eric, a devout Scottish missionary runs because he knows it must please God. Harold, the son of a newly rich Jew runs to prove his place in Cambridge society. In a warmup 100 meter race, Eric defeats Harold, who hires a pro trainer to prepare him. Eric, whose qualifying heat is scheduled for a Sunday, refuses to run despite pressure from the Olympic committee. A compromise is reached when a nobleman allows Eric to compete in his 400 meter slot. Eric and Harold win their respective races and go on to achieve fame as missionary and businessman/athletic advocate, respectively.

In my own rewiew

Because I am Christian, I already heard the real story about Eric Liddell. As much, the Christian have remembered him and still have respected him. Whenever I encounter a problem that I have to choose something, I usually vacillate. But Liddell did not. He chose and acted according to his faith. Liddell didn’t vacillate. I envy Liddell his firm faith.

Even though Abraham said he runs because of the pride of Jew, in my view he ran because of his desire of triumph. Thus when he lost his race against Liddell, he suffered himself. If he really ran for the pride of Jew, his suffering might not necessary. And after achieved golden medal in Olympic he ran no longer, because he already had filled his desire.

In order to train himself, Abraham engaged a trainer Sam Mussabini who was not amateur but pro. It was violate the regulation of his college. In my opinion, If Abraham really wanted to show the pride of Jew, he had to follow every regulation that was ordered to him. It is real improvement of his willing.

If someone asks me “Do they succeed in their aim?” then I will answer “yes”. But I ask again “What are real aims of them?” In that sense, I think Eric Liddell succeeded in his aim but Harold Abraham made a little error.

The opening scene is very famous. Try to appreciate.

BMW MINI – not weak but strong

BMW MINI as a synonym of small cute car pulled camping and cargo trailer. It is clubman cooper S model whose total length x full width x total height is 3937 x 1683 x 1426. It’s engine is an in-line 4silinder turbo 1600cc. The engine can develop 175h.p. and 24.5kg.m.

MINI pulled two types of trailer.

Camping trailer

Camping trailer which is retro style in 1940~50s is 3m long. It can hold camping or sports equipments and has a bed for 2 persons. The space under the bed can be used as a storage space, and camping trailer has a space for a kitchen at the rear. Camping trailer is 435.5kg.

Cargo trailer

Another trailer is cargo trailer which can carry cargos. It fits into MINI which is insufficient for holding. A streamlined Cargo trailer which is made of fiber glass can hold camping, bicycle, fishing, and travel equipments. The length is 3m and the weight is 150kg.

 

MINI equipped a pulling hook to tract above two types of trailer, because MINI which had been released in Korea had no pulling hook at the beginning. Without trouble, MINI can tract camping trailers which are more than 400kg. If MINI equips a pulling hook formally, it can tract even 700kg. We can see many MINIs that tract trailer larger than MINI in Europe which advanced nations for camping. MINI is one of my favorite cars, and I like camping. MINI with camping cargo is amazing. I hope to purchase this car with trailer.

Droid vs iPhone

1. Sexiness - Droid 4.3 : iPhone 5

In spite of qwerty keyboard, Droid has very slim body. However, it is not great adorable.

On the other hand, iPhone is beautiful which it is. It's rounded body and simplicity is amazing.

2. Navigation - Droid 4.7 : iPhone 5

Droid's UI is not bad, but it needs time to be suited and makes users long for 'send' button. However iPhone's UI is the easiest to everyone.

3. Features - Droid 5 : iPhone 4.7

Droid adopts android 2.0 and provides free GPS, exchangeable battery, and multitasking.

iPhone has advanced MMS service and copy and paste functions, but the sync in iTunes is very complicate and inconvenience.

4. Web browsing & Multi-Media - Droid 4 : iPhone 5

Users of Droid have to connect Amazon store, if they want to download MP3. Video quality and web browser are lower than those of iPhone.

Even though iPhone has a problem of the difficulty because of iTunes, iPhone has the best web browser Safari and good quality of video and audio.

5. Call Quality - Droid 5 : iPhone 3.3

Droid transmits strong signal and clear sound quality.

iPhone provides a call service through AT&T. It is weaker than that of Verizon, so the call quality is still one of the issues.

As a result, Droid and iPhone got same points, but Droid wins 2parts and iPhone wins 3parts, so iPhone is estimated better than Droid.

Even though so many smart phones are developed, Droid is raised as a good rival of iPhone. It means that Droid has a lot of possibility. iPhone is released today in Korea. Actually I am one of iPod touch users, so I don’t have curiosity for iPhone. Although experts assess that iPhone is better than Droid, I will wait for releasing Droid in Korea.

The saddest news

This is one of the saddest, but most amusing sights we've ever seen. A $1.6
million Bugatti Veyron sitting in a salt water lagoon, door open, in two feet of
nasty, corrosion-inducing muddy water. While the sight is sad, how the event
allegedly transpired is downright hilarious. The unnamed owner of the vehicle,
traveling through Galveston, Texas to look at some high-end property, was
reportedly talking on his cell phone when a low-flying pelican distracted him.
The driver swerved to avoid the big bird, dropped his cell phone, and in the
process the front passenger tire hit a mud patch.

As I know, Bugatti Veyron is one of the most expensive cars. The owner, probably, might be very sorrow because of that accident, but he learns very important lesson. If you own a Veyron, let this be a lesson to you that having money doesn;t necessarily mean youhave the skill to drive a supercar, especially when you're on the phone.
